Do you see?
Flowers ~
Stretching yawning arms
Through the earth
Awakened by the coming spring

Do you hear?
In the sky and trees
Birds chattering
Crying out
Spring is coming!

Take a breath!
Do you smell it?
The earth
Emitting smells
Fresh and clean
Preparing for the growth of spring

Can you feel it?
Spring is coming
The slumber of winter has passed
Awake! Awake!
Spring has come!

My Mother’s herb garden is a pleasant place.
Nearby is my tree-house and swing set.
Rows of Parsley, Sage and Garlic line the fence
which leads to my Aunt Kate’s.

Please come to visit my Mother’s little herb garden,
when your summer is far spent.
The Rosemary will be full-grown.
You will see various herbs, growing from a labor of love.

My Mother’s love for herbs will make our
winter months pleasant!
We can all learn from growing the
Rosemary in our garden.
